United Food Ingredients seeks a Research & Development Technical Assistant

Responsibilities

This role is critical to supporting the development and production of safe, high-quality food ingredients. This position reports to the Research & Development Manager and additionally supports the Quality Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

·         Perform taste and visual quality checks on finished goods

·         Perform quality checks on raw materials

·         Supporting the Research and Development team by preparing food samples for tasting

·         Cataloging and keeping current product specifications and documentation

·         Responding to customer quality information and documentation requests

·         Support the management team in preparing for and during audits

·         Organizing and maintaining the lab space

·         Prepare samples for internal and external lab analysis

Location & Commitments

·         Full-time, permanent

·         Monday – Friday 6:00AM – 2:30PM, but able to stay until 4:30PM if necessary.

·         Burr Ridge, IL

Candidate requirements

Required:

·         High school diploma or GED Certificate

·         Experience working with a team

·         Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

·         English speaking

Preferred:

·         Bilingual English / Spanish

Compensation and benefits

·         Pay: Range starts at $21.50 per hour
